Each morning you’ll awaken to the smells of fresh coffee brewing (or tea). Gourmet breakfast will be served either in the dining room or out on the beautiful summer patio. We’ll call in your reservation for a fantastic table at our favorite restaurant overlooking the John Wayne Marina.

Your hosts, Dave & Corinne, are totally committed to hospitality and look forward to pampering you on top of Lost Mountain. We hear from our guests … “we simply don’t want to leave.”

Dave and Corinne FitzPatricks Story (Continue Reading the story here...)

Dave and Corinne FitzPatrick’s Story
A Place of Peace

Dave and Corinne’s adventure began in 1990 when they first met and often talked about doing something together on the mission field. Immediately upon getting married in 1991, they began opening their home to people from across the U.S. and from around the world: exchange students from Japan, Thailand, and Germany, missionaries visiting from Norway, Thailand, Canada, New Zealand, and Italy, and people who needed a temporary home while they navigated a life transition. Corinne and Dave always felt that their home was God’s home, and to be used to provide a place of peace, comfort, and rest for others, as well as personal connection.

Dave spent over 35 years in the corporate business environment, 27 at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. He is now a leadership and personal development coach and works with clients around the world through one-on-one coaching, workshops, and seminars. Corinne spent several years counseling unwed mothers in the adoption process and recently retired as a medical assistant in the field of acupuncture. Together, they are extremely excited to be innkeepers at Ambiance Bed & Breakfast – A Place of Peace.

Dave and Corinne met the amazing former owners of Ambiance Bed and Breakfast in the summer of 2016 when they stayed at the inn. The FitzPatrick’s immediately fell in the with the ‘ambiance’ of Lost Mountain Lane that overlooks the town of Carlsborg, the Dungeness Spit, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Victoria B.C. to the west, the San Juan Islands to the north, and Mount Baker to the east. Most inspiring to the couple was the sense of serenity and tranquility experienced as they sipped coffee while taking in the amazingly beautiful view, while listening to the sounds of the Pacific Northwest’s many birds, watching eagles soar, deer feed on the property’s land, and the muffled quiet of being 1900 feet above sea level.

When the opportunity came to acquire the residence on Lost Mountain Lane, Dave and Corinne felt it was an answer to prayer and immediately made plans to move from Redmond, WA to Sequim. They are both thrilled and feel blessed beyond measure to have the opportunity to open their home as a bed and breakfast inn, and to share the ambiance of A Place of Peace where others can experience the serenity and tranquility they do.

Please come visit and share in the beautiful surroundings that will surely cause you to pause and take a moment for reflection.
